Ku-BAND VSAT
Ku-band VSATs are communication antennas working in the frequency band [10.75 – 14.50 GHz] and represent the standard technology.
A Ku-band VSAT provides connection speeds typically up to 4 Mbps, using 1m dish size (smaller antennas are also available but reducing coverage or increasing bandwidth cost).
Major present advantage of a Ku-band solution is service coverage which
has a worldwide extension (due to the high number of available satellites).

Ka-BAND VSAT
Ka-band VSATs are communication antennas working in the frequency band [17.70 – 30.00 GHz] and represent the latest satellite technology. Present Ka-band systems are able to provide a connection speed up to 20 Mbps even using small antennas, thus opening the satellite maritime market to bandwidth intensive applications.
Ka-band satellites network is quickly growing and coverage will be soon available worldwide.
